Home for the Holidays

For winter break this year, my family and I flew up to Boston to spend the holidays with our extended family. On Tuesday, we spent a rainy day walking around the city and introducing the (almost) new member of our family to all the famous sights.

^A crummy day in terms of weather... but so fun to see the lights on the trees and spot the freedom trial everywhere we walked!

^Walking around the historical buildings (Faneuil Hall pictured here) makes me remember how old this city is and how many events took place here.

^ We finished up with dinner in the North End (the Italian neighborhood of Boston), Giacomo's. Since the restaurant doesn't take reservations and is one of the most popular, you must wait in line outside until it opens at 4:30. Let me tell you, it is so worth it. I ordered the butternut squash ravioli and it was one of the best meals I've had in months.

Can't wait for more adventures in the northeast! A lovely Merry Christmas to you all...
