the 15 list: run 5 miles

Yes, the title of this post says run 5 miles. And yes, my goal for the year was to be able to run 5 miles. But, unfortunately, I didn't reach my goal of 5 miles. Throughout the year, I decided that my best shot at long distance running would be to build my distance up during the year and then do some hard core running during the summer. So summer came and I got lazy and barely ran during June and then I found out I would have foot surgery at the end of July. So I re-evaluated my goal. Run 5 miles became Run 3 miles.
And last week, the night before my surgery, I ran 3.21 miles. So I am calling this goal as completed because overall, I am proud of myself for actually getting out there and running, and that's all that matters(:
